For the last few weeks, our lower school counselor Lisa Heurung has visited our class to talk about mindfulness. We think about mindfulness sometimes as "paying attention to what is happening right now." There is a interesting article on PBS regarding the important of mindfulness in teaching that may prove interesting as well.
Our class has been practicing "mindful breathing" right before rest--it helps our little bodies power down for a brief period before a busy afternoon! Please check our Mrs. Heurung's blog here for more insight!
