We finished off the week by talking about our overarching C.A.R.E. theme, Citizenship.  To help us get started, we read the story David Goes to School.

In the story, David forgets how to be a great citizen in his community and needs LOTS of reminders! The students love the story since the character is so silly, and they were eager to jump in with lots of ways to remind him how to be his "best self."  We added everyone's ideas to David with speech bubbles so he wouldn't forget!  The children had lots of examples of times they acted as a great citizens in our school and at home as well.

  1. Wow! These are great ideas of ways all of us can be good Breck citizens. I love your thinking, Kindergarteners!!
    Hugs from,
    Mrs. Preissing
