We had a wonderful party today, thanks to our parent helpers who jumped right in!
We made heart cookies... num!
There was heart BINGO, with red gems and stickers. Some of the children took turns calling out the numbers--great practice for the 100th day of school tomorrow.
And we explored making heart creatures using pipe cleaners, googly eyes, paper, popsicle sticks... so much creative thinking, no two were alike!
At the end of our party, it was time for science! We predicted and observed what candy hearts do in water, vinegar and soda water. Our kindergarteners can definitely tell you what the results of our experiments were--the word dissolve came up too.
Look for more celebrations tomorrow for the 100th day of school!
